WCPE's 'Preview!'Sunday, May 20, 2012; 6-9 p.m., ET
This Sunday on Preview we’ll feature Part 2 of The Peacemakers, a new work by Karl Jenkins, one of the world's most performed living composers. The Peacemakers features texts from some of the greatest peacemakers in history, including Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, The Dalai Lama, and Nelson Mandela. The composer conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in this epic performance.

the country of poland during the second world war was the scene of some of the most horrific crimes against humanity. geographic names immediately bring to mind the horror that the people who were forced into ghettoes and extermination camps suffered: auschwitz-birkenau, treblinka, warsaw ghetto and katyn forest, to name only a few. the month of may marks two anniversaries: the 72nd anniversary of the massacre of polish intelligentsia and officers in katyn forest by the soviet union army in 1940 and the 67th anniversary of victory in europe by the allied forces, thereby freeing those held in death camps and concentration camps.
